I’ve been expanding my love for creative direction into new territory, that in its fresh green journey has been incredibly fulfilling and meaningful- I’m curating my first art show.
Moms have a lot to be pissed off about. We meet our edge on a daily basis, and oftentimes we’re invisible for it. We are determined to do things differently with our children, mindful to end the patterns of trauma generations endured and inflicted upon us. Patriarchal systems still have a stronghold on making things harder than our male counterparts. All the while we are raising our children through wars, fascism, and climate crisis.
In short, moms are bad asses. I didn’t notice this, until I became one. I had to carve out the space to express all the hard things that came with the experience of motherhood- it was a matter of self preservation. I was lucky to turn to my art practice- it saved me.
So now my journey has taken me to this incredible place- to provide the space for moms to express themselves through art and show it for the world to see.
PiSSED OFF MOMS is an art show with all mom artists, about motherhood. It features all the grit, intensity, humor, playfulness, and intimacy of motherhood by some incredible San Francisco artists. Many of them have come out of the woodwork through me reaching out throughout the community. I am forever grateful, because this is what building something with purpose is all about- lifting each other up and healing together.
Hope you’ll join me July 5th at 5pm, at the Natasha Tsozik Fine Art Studio in Dogpatch!
There will be incredibly beautiful art to purchase. There will be live music. Pissed Off Mom merch along with merch by our crafty mothers! Wine and snacks. AND of course, kid friendly✨
